1 in 4 kids has a vision problem
Vision issues not only impact the success of children in school; they also affect their ability to function in life. Unlike hunger or tooth decay, vision is an invisible problem—children are often unable to self-identify that their vision is impaired. Children rely on their parents, teachers and community to be advocates for their vision care. To them, blurred vision is normal.
Getting an annual eye exam is integral to making sure kids succeed in life.
Use the poster and activities included in the kit to teach students about the parts of the eye and the importance of eye health. Share these resources with teachers to use in their classroom. Take home sheets are included to educate parents about the signs and symptoms of vision problems.
Soar with us!
To us, a paper airplane is more than just a piece of paper. It symbolizes a child’s ability to soar in life once they receive a new pair of glasses.
