Show the Love Campaign Launched to Support Teachers, Nurses and Eye Doctors

To show support for the nation’s teachers, nurses and eye doctors, Essilor Vision Foundation launched the “Show the Love” campaign in March. The campaign to spread the message of positivity encourages community leaders, businesses, corporate partners and parents to send a note of thanks and appreciation to their local heroes.

The campaign can be easily shared through social media and email by using the images created by Essilor Vision Foundation and using the hashtag #ShowTheLove.

Thanking Teachers and Nurses

Millions of dedicated school teachers are going above and beyond to be available for their students during the COVID-19 pandemic. Essilor Vision Foundation (EVF) recognizes how hard teachers are working to engage and educate kids during this unprecedented time and wants to create a community of support for teachers around the country. You can send a message of support to a teacher who has had a positive impact on your child’s life by showing them the love.

Supporting and Thanking the Nation’s Eye Doctors

EVF’s Show the Love campaign is encouraging everyone whose business involves eye doctors to show their support by joining in and sending messages of encouragement.

Everyone who knows the importance of clear vision to give the eye doctor in their life some love. With everyone wanting to do something to help, this is an easy way to bring goodwill across the country. So send an email, tweet or create a post on your social media channels to show you appreciation. is sending a message of thanks to eye doctors around the country who provide vision exams and glasses to people in need during the coronavirus pandemic. The organization is encouraging everyone whose business involves eye doctors to show their support by joining EVF’s Show the Love campaign and sending messages of encouragement. Show The Love is a social media campaign that is designed to demonstrate appreciation for eye doctors, and EVF has created free images that can be easily shared through social media channels.

Today and in the coming months, EVF asks everyone to show their eye doctor some love in three easy ways:

  • Send your eye doctor a note on Facebook or LinkedIn thanking them, using the hashtags #ShowTheLove #EVFusa
  • Post a photo or video of yourself sending a “Show the Love” message
  • Once their office opens, patients can show support by booking an eye appointment

To help eye doctors communicate with patients when the offices

COVID-19 will leave even more people in financial need and EVF, in partnership with eyecare providers, is helping patients who cannot afford vision care. The foundation encourages eye doctors to sign up for the Changing Life through Lenses program in preparation to serve patients in need of financial assistance. This program provides an online registration process to order jobs at no cost to the practice or the patient. While patients who have insurance or financial ability are encouraged to maintain their own medical care, EVF is here to help those who need assistance. Together we see a brighter future

EVF partners with eye doctors, schools, nurses and teachers to help kids receive vision screenings and ensure that students can see clearly. With their support, along with eye doctors and vision non-profits, the foundation has been able to help more than 1.5 million people receive vision care. The organization provides glasses and related vision services to eye doctors and vision charities to help underserved populations receive critical vision care.
